It was great to participate in a panel discussion at Georgetown University about “Disability in the Workplace and Life after Georgetown” with two fellow alumni, Tiffany Yu and Lydia Brown. The event was hosted by the professors of the newly established Georgetown Disability Studies cluster and was attended by approximately 75 undergraduate students. It was nice to see how the Disability Studies initiative is growing and I predict that this is a focus area that will continue to expand on campus given the many different aspects of “disability” that can be studied. A special thank you to Bill Reynolds, Associate Vice President of Alumni Relations and the Annual Fund, for providing opening remarks and helping to underwrite the cost of the event.
Congratulations to the leaders of the Georgetown Disability Studies cluster for all of their hard work!
